:p I regret most of the content/jokes here. 40% of which are cringe-worthy. This is not a blog that I'd want my nephews/nieces ...or anyone to read, actually. but it's still up here because of sentimental reasons. The blog took a lot of time to build & I just don't have the heart to delete it. If you do find the jokes funny - I'm happy to know that they're entertaining. Otherwise, here's a more "proper" one http://coffee-choc.blogspot.com ...prob not as funny, mainly about chocolates and coffee and food & music

I didn't know PINEAPPLE ice-creams exist! ;) *yum*

My new-found love :) - Dole Plantation's pineapple ice-cream
Light, fluffy
& not too sweet (unlike fruit sorbets. I'm not a fan of sweet sorbets)

it's virtually fat-free
Be prepared for a long queue!
(but it's worth it nonetheless :) )
When I was there, I saw at least 5 other tourist buses!

About Dole Pineapple Plantation

(Source: Wikipedia)

Dole was founded in 1851 in Hawaii as Hawaiian Pineapple Company by James Dole, who opened his first pineapple plantation in the central plateau of the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Today the company does business in over 90 countries and takes in upwards of $5.3 billion in annual revenue. It is owned by billionaire David H. Murdock.

Colourful plants along the driveway

Eucalyptus trees...

A map/directory located outside the main building

A stall selling home-grown fruits and veges- paw-paws (papayas), pineapples, sweet potatoes, etc

A souvenir shop where you can get nicely-packaged Hawaiian snacks - Macadamia nuts, sugar-free chocolates, preserved pienapples, amngoes, & coconuts, pineapple ice-cream (of course!), organic honey, cereals, fridge magnets... etc

  9. Once again, I am wrong..sigh: the avacado, discoverd by Charles Avocad in 1762 is botanically a fruit but culinary or in the kitchen it is often treated as a vegetable. In some cuisines, the avocado is treated as a fruit and is used in some desserts.
So there you have it. Avocado is indeed a fruit, but I think this particular fruit is best served ... See Moreas a dip for real corn tortilla chips or as a garnish for salads. Hey, seems like half of the stuff I put in salads are actually fruit....who'd of thunk....
